Q.
What is your pricing? How much for such and such?
|

A.
I prefer to set a fixed price for any website job which I do.
This is because sometimes there are unforseen circumstances which
delay a project.
It is necessary to discuss your needs, and what kind of site you
want in order to arrive at a price because I need to know the
details of what the work involves.

Payments can be made by check, through Google Payments or cash.
Payments must be half of the agreed upon price up front, and half
after the work is finished.

Q.
Can you make a template for me in the Front Page program so that I
can just work on my site myself?
|

A.
I can. Please understand, however, that the template will simply
be a blank page file with your template applied to it. You will still
be responsible for linking each page to every other page, as well
as making sure that the elements which make up your template do
not move around as you edit each page. In other words the
functionality of Front Page is limited.

Q.
Then what about the ability to just make my pages easily without
having to worry about linking pages and keeping the template
aligned?

A.
I recommend a Content Management System, or CMS. This is a
program or script which lives on your website host computer. What you would do then is
to login to a webpage online, and then click therein to add your
pages. Inside of this CMS page, there are icons to click on for
adding text and graphics and links and so forth much as there is in
a program such as Front Page.

Q.
How do I know that I will receive the kind of website that I want
instead of the kind of website that my designer thought that I ment?

A.
You can relax as you watch your site being constructed. Providing feedback
as I build and make changes will assure you that you get the kind of
website that you want.
I can either provide a private address on my site for the build out and
then move it to a permanent address once it is finished.
Or we can use the internet address of your choice right away.

Do you provide hosting?

A.
No. There are, however, many different excellent hosting providers
at a reasonable price. I can recommend one to meet your needs.

Q.
I still don't have my website address, the domain name as you call it.
How do I get one?
|
|
A.
You must purchase it separtely. Don't worry, it isn't expensive.
I recommend
Yahoo! Domains Beleive me if you pay more than this then you
have paid too much.

Q.
I have this great idea for a Flash Animation! Can you do that?
|
|
A.
I am not a Flash programmer. You will find that custom Flash animations
can be very expensive. My prices are middle of the road. What I can do
is incorporate premade Flash animations. I can even edit them to a certain
extent if you have the .SWF file which was used to create the Flash with,
as apposed to the finised product .FLA files which are permanently sealed
and cannot
be edited even by the best of Flash professionals.

How do I know if you are taking new customers?

A.

any time slots available for new customers, or to see if I am on
vacation for a day or a week.
